  6.  L[ist] [<starting_msg_number> [<ending_msg_number>] ]

  8. DESCRIPTION
  9.  The list command prints a list of the messages in the current
  10.  mailbox (or "area").  For each message, the list contains the
  11.  subject header line, the time and date it was created, who it
  12.  is from, how many bytes long it is, and whether or not it has
  13.  been read.

  15.  You may include an optional "starting_msg_number"  from which
  16.  to begin displaying  the list.  If you specify a starting msg
  17.  number, then  you may also specify an  ending number as well.
  18.  This will limit the display for you in case there are a large
  19.  number of messages in a particular "area" mailbox.

  22.  list        (Display a list of all messages in the current area)
  23.  l 6         (Display messages headers beginning with message 6)
  24.  list 6 10   (Display only message headers from 6 to 10)
